Masters Basketball Sri Lanka (MBSL) is the heartbeat of the basketball players from yesteryear who come together on a common platform of networking and keeping fit through their well-loved sport, bringing out their competitiveness on court.
This year, the committee of MBSL has made plans to organise the “Masters Cup” (3x3 Basketball Tournament 2018) during the month of May. It would be under various categories for both men and women, ranging from over-30 years and upwards for women, and over-35, 40, 45 & above for men.
The tournament will be conducted under FIBA rules and it would be during the weekend of the 11 and 12 of May at the Mercantile Cricket Association Courts (MCA).
The expected crowd would be around 500 to 800 of both members and their families who would be on site at the MCA to support each of their teams. MBSL intends to ensure a carnival atmosphere with game stalls, kids’ play area, food stalls and music to keep them entertained during this fun-filled weekend.
