Schools Rugby Under 20 will move towards the Super Round with two matches to be played this weekend. In the first game Royal will meet Wesley on 6 August at the CR and FC ground while on the following day the unbeaten Isipathana College will be up against the Joes at Havelock Park.
Royal hold clear edge
Royal College will have a clear edge when they come up against the Wesley outfit. Royal having a very good season winning against Antonians (22/12), Thomians (20/8), Joes (17/3) and Kingswood (53/0) while going down to Trinity in a nail bitter 21/20 which they lost in the extra time try by their opponents.
Meanwhile Wesley beat Dharmaraja (31/12), Vidyartha (38/7), Science (38/10) while ended on equal terms against St Peter’s (17/17) and lost out to Isipathana (0/10).
Royal are led by Harshith Peiris with Dushantha Lewke heading the coaching unit. Meanwhile Wesley are led by Tharusha Jayaweera.

Isipathana out to continue winning streak
Isipathana College will be all out to continue their winning streak when they confront Wesley College in their encounter at Havelock Park on 7 August.
Isipathana had a grand season beating Science (18/9), Wesley (10/0), St Peter’s (29/17), Dharmaraja (26/12) and Vidyartha (25/23). Meanwhile Joes beat Kingswood (34/3), St Thomas (30/28), Trinity (20/15) and Antonians (30/25) and lost out to Royal (3/17).
Isipathana are led by Dahan Nithina and coached by Saliya Kumara. Meanwhile Joes outfit is led by Teran Karunanayake and coached by Nilfer Ibrahim. Both coaching staff who were at the Commonwealth Games in UK are back will be in action with their teams. Nilfer was in charge of the Men’s outfit while Saliya Kumara looked after the Women’s team.
Both Aaqil Jamaldeen and Dilum Deeshana are out at the Asian Trophy Sevens tournament which is taking place in Indonesia.
