The former Isipathana, CR and FC and national fly-half, Niroshan Fernando will lead the Havies outfit in the Inter-Club Rugby League, which will kick off early next month.
Niroshan played for the Green Shirts till 2009 before joining the CR and FC outfit the following year. Niroshan has been representing the Park Club since 2012, and will have experienced Sharo Fernando in the starting line-up but will miss out with the majority of their last year players being signed by CR and FC and CH and FC.
Prasad Madushanka, Hirantha Perera, Kevin Dixon, Sudam Sooriyarachchi, Rahul De Silva and Sudharshana Muthuthanthri are the players who left Havies in the recent past.
With Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) deciding to award one overseas player for the lower ranked (fifth to eighth) teams, Havies, having ended fourth last year, will not be permitted to field an overseas player in their starting line-up in the next month’s league tournament.
