Presently he is working on the rehabilitation which will put himself ready for the next rugby season.
Speaking to Daily FT, Ratwatte said, “I underwent my wrist operation during early May 2020 after playing majority of the second round encounters carrying my injury. Now I need to rest myself and get fully fit before representing my club during 2020/2021 season. I would have loved to play for the national XV a side team in front of the home crowd but I don’t want to play half fit. So it’s good to give the opportunity for a player who is 100% fit.” He ended, “During this time of my rest I want to give full attention towards my family which I have missed for a long time. I will inform my club plus SLR on my decision in the near future.” (SJ)
