The Nuwara Eliya Golf Course (NEGC) conducted annual Graham Sinclair Cup will take place today (14) and the A R Aitken Cup which was inaugurated in 1911 will reward the best nett score over the following two days.
The following two days will see the main two, the annual Captain’s Cup and President’s Prize at NEGC, with both tournaments Board events with a long and rich history.
Sixteen-year-old Trinitian and golf sensation, Haroon Aslam will defend his President’s Prize while top form golfer Chamara Abeyrathne will be back in Nuwara Eliya to defend his Captain’s Cup at the annual event which will be worked off at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) on 15 and 16 August.
The action packed weekend including the Club AGM (Annual General Meeting) will take place that week-end at the prestigious club in the hills.
The Organising Committee at NEGC will conduct these tournaments under strict health and safety guidelines. A maximum of 100 players will compete at these tournaments on each day and just a few more slots are available for registration.
