In a surprising move Sri Lanka Sevens skipper Sudarshan Muthuthanthri tied up with the gutsy CH&FC outfit for their league game against CR&FC and the Clifford Cup knockout rugby competition.
Muthuthanthri, who was away in New Zealand playing rugby for a little over four months, returned to the island a week ago. CH&FC Head of Rugby Ronny Ibrahim speaking to the Daily FT said: “Muthu joining the team is a big boost for the youngsters. With his experience and exposure he will settle fast and we hope to finish in the top three in the league and work towards Clifford Cup success.
“We missed out in a few games which should have ended in our favour. But we will perform at our best and the boys are all out to end the season on a high note.” (SJ)
