NewsWire: Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan, who underwent a successful coronary angioplasty with stents on Sunday, has been discharged from Chennai’s Apollo Hospital.

In a press release, the hospital stated that Muralitharan could resume his normal activities.

The hospital further said Muralitharan had undergone an angioplasty procedure after being admitted for cardiac evaluation yesterday.

Three blocks were detected in three of his arteries during a routine check-up conducted a few weeks ago in Colombo.
