Trinity College became the champions in the Milo All Island Under 14 Ten a side rugby tournament for 2019 which took place at the Royal Sports Complex on 1 September with the knock events on day 2. With this win Trinity ended their drought of eight years with the last win coming in 2011 under the same segment in the All Island event.
Trinity College displayed champagne rugby in this event allowing only one try against them in the whole tournament. Trinity beat Sumangala, Science, Wesley, Zahira (semi-final) and Isipathana in the final.
In the final scores were ties at 5 a piece after full time where the game went in to extra time. The lads from the Hill were first to score and win the game against Isipathana by 10/5.
Trinity was led by Ravin Illangaratne with former Peterite, Havies and Lanka Lions player, Ramzy Dekkak being the Head Coach of the unit. He with his experience as a player and coach produced an outstanding unit. He proved his selection in to Trinity rugby with an outstanding performance in his very first year. He was assisted by Ranjan and hardworking Shiran Sampath who is the MIC of the unit since 2018.
Trinity beat Sri Sumangala Kandy 28/0, Science 38/0, Wesley 19/0, Zahira 31/0 and Isipathana 10/5.
