Maheswaran heads Kandy Hockey

R. Maheswaran was elected President of the Kandy District Hockey Association for the 12th consecutive year. Maheswaran, who held the position of Secretary for 15 years, is with the game for well over three decades.

Maheswaran, the former Sylvesterian, played hockey for his school and later was a top level coach supporting the game at school and club level. Another top former player and coach M.H.M. Ashraff was appointed as the Secretary.

The Office Bearers of 2019 are as follows.

President – R. Maheswaran
Vice Presidents – Hafiz Marikar, P. Kumara, D. Herath, S. Dissanayake, G.G. Dharmaratna
Secretary – M.H.M. Ashraff
Assistant Secretary – S. Paraneetharan

Assistant Treasurer – R. T. R. Raheem
