MCA Girls Academy excels in MCA Inter Academy U-15

MCA Girls Academy Team, coached by Shashikala Siriwardena, performed quite well against Brendon Kuruppu’s Boys Team in the ongoing ‘DFCC Junior Trophy – 14th MCA Inter Academy U-15/30-Over League Tournament 2019’ continued on Thursday 12 December.

Brendon’s boys, batting first, scored 202 for seven in 30 overs and the MCA girls gave spirited chase to go down fighting with 153 for eight in 30 overs. Newcomer Swingers, helped by a solid 80 runs by Kevin Fernando, posted their second successive win as they beat the host MCA Blue by a massive margin of 110 runs.
