A Baur& Co., Hayleys Group “B”, Deutsche Bank AG & Asiri Hospitals advanced to the Semi Finals in the 09th Stafford Motors-Honda Trophy, MCA “G” division25 Over League Tournament 2019.
The Quarter Finals were worked off during the weekend, 10 and 11August.
The two top half quarters were completely washed-out at the MCA grounds on Saturday.
In order to find the Semi-Finalist, the “Bowl-out” system had to be enforced at the MCA Indoor nets.
The 1st quarter final went in favour of A Baur & Co., who beat Ceat Tyres International.
The 02nd quarter final went in favour of Hayleys “B”, who beat Waters Edge.
The weather and ground improved on Sunday and the two bottom half quarter finals were played to a finish at the MCA grounds.
Spinners Nilan de Silva and Niranjan Dabare shared 03 wickets a piece to hand over Deutsche Bank a close 12 runs win over Nor Lanka.
Asiri Hospitals scored a cakewalk, 09 wickets win over Maliban Biscuits “B”, who were bamboozled by Sameepa Liyanage(4/15) and Shehan Wijesinghe(3/08); Maliban, thus shot out for 85 runs in 22.5 overs and Asiri Hospitals shed little sweat on reaching their target in 38 balls with inform bats man Koshan Jayawickrama once again carrying his bat out with a punishing 55 not out.

The 1st Semi-final, between A Baur & Co and Deutsche Bank AG will take place on Saturday, 17August at the MCA grounds.
The 02nd Semi Final, between Hayleys Group B and Asiri Hospitals will take place on Sunday, 18August also at the MCA grounds.
