MCA Cricket Academy wins

Despite a fighting century by Shanikya Deshapriya (108) for Colombo Premier CF ‘Yellow’, MCA Cricket Academy with a superb all-round performance managed a four-wicket win the quarter-final match in the inaugural YSCC Inter-Academy Under-14 50-Over Cricket Tournament 2019, played last Saturday at the Ananda Sasthralaya Grounds, Kotte.

MCA Cricket Academy, chasing a challenging total of 219 runs in 50 overs, reached their target in 48.5 overs, riding on the unbroken seventh wicket partnership between Tharanga Fernando (49 not out) and Pawan Jayawardena (38 not out).

MCA Cricket Academy will meet the winner of the fourth quarter-final between Oval Cricket Academy vs. SA Blue.
