MAS Unichela enters MCA Premier League T20 final

Defending Champions MAS Unichela entered the final in the 27th Singer-MCA Premier League T+20 Tournament, as they beat DIMO in a thriller by 5 wickets with 2 balls to spare, at the P. Sara Oval yesterday.

MAS Unichela chasing 169 to win 20 overs was spear headed to victory by a masterly innings by T.M. Sampath (77 in 54 balls inclusive of 3 sixes and 10 fours).

Thikshila de Silva’s valiant innings of 51 runs for DIMO thus went down the drain; Dhammika Prasad (04-31-04) was the chief wreaker for MAS Unichela.

MAS Unichela will meet the winner of the top half semi-final – Hayleys vs. SLC Emerging XI, to be played today – in the final tomorrow at the MCA grounds, commencing at 10 a.m.
