MAS Silueta stroll to easy win against Unilever Sri Lanka

MAS Silueta cleared the 300-run mark for the second time in the ongoing third Fair and Lovely Men Trophy – MCA ‘B’ Division 50-Over League Tournament 2020, which continued on 16 and 19 October.

Riding on four half-centuries from their in-form batsmen Sangeeth Cooray (58), Nimanda Subasinghe (57 not out), Deshan Hemantha (56) and Irosh Samarasooriya (52), MAS Silueta amassed a total of 341/6 in 50 overs against Unilever Sri Lanka and went on to win by a massive margin of 204 runs.

Earlier on, MAS Silueta offered similar treatment to Singer Sri Lanka by scoring 306 for 7 in 50 overs.

Out of the 15 matches played up to 19 October, four have ended in a no-result due to bad weather. The affected teams are CDB (three matches), MAS Silueta (two matches), Singer SL (one match), Pyramid Wilmer (one match) and HNB (one match)

The league stage, which consisted of 21 matches, will conclude on 27 October. The top teams in the points table will advance to the semi-finals.
