Former Royal Number 8 and fly half Lennox Calyanaratne will represent Trinity College in their rugby season in 2018. According to reliable sources, Calyanaratne’s parents had gone to obtain the release letter from the Royal College Principal, and subsequently he was released to play for any school. He is will play for the up-country school in the 2018 rugby season.
Lennox, who can play for another 2 years, has got his admission to Trinity College and is likely to start off in number 8 position under Avishka Sheik’s outfit. According to reliable sources, the reason for his crossover issue was that he was the most senior, second to only Shabith Feroze, but was not appointed as the vice captain of the Royal outfit.
Trinity ended as number 3 last year in the Singer League 2017 but will be expecting a better performance this year. They are once again coached by New Zealand Sevens sensation, Lote Raikabullah.
