Former Vidyartha player and Sri Lanka sevens specialist, Kavindu Perera will lead CR&FC in their 2018/2019 rugby season once more.
CR&FC has a proud rugby history having won the ‘A’ Division League Rugby title, Clifford Cup, and SLRFU President’s Trophy several times and will hope to live up to their reputation in the coming season. Last season they ended as number five which is the lowest overall in their recent history of club rugby football.
Kavindu Perera will have former Trinity skipper and Sri Lanka sevens player Tharinda Ratwatte as his vice captain. They also have several talented players of the calibre of former Isipathana skipper Omalka Gunaratne, Rehan Silva, Chamod Fernando, Kavindu Costa, former Kingswoodian and national sevens player Reza Rafaideen, and former Royal hooker Supun Warnakulasuriya. Once the school season is completed there will be more youngsters from Colombo and Kandy schools joining the Longdon Place club. (SJ)
