Kanrich Finance beats John Keells in MCA Premier League Knockout Tournament

Kanrich Finance, which is ranked 10th in the league, created a huge upset when they eliminated the third-ranked John Keells in the 25th Singer-MCA Premier League Knockout Tournament 2018 qualifier played at De Soysa Park, Moratuwa on 19 October. 

Out of the four qualifying matches played on the same day, this was the only game that ended with a result. The other three games - LB Finance vs. Hayleys, HNB vs. DIMO and Teejay Lanka vs. Sampath Bank - were ruined by rain. 

LB Finance (league No. 4) HNB (League No. 5) and Teejay Lanka (League No. 6) advanced to the second round by holding the higher position in the league points table.
