Kanrich Finance B hog limelight in opening weekend of MCA D Division

Kanrich Finance “B” players, Chandula Weeraratne and Tharushan Weerasinghe hogged the limelight in the opening weekend of the 07th Prestige Automobile Ltd. sponsored ‘BMW-Hyundai’ Trophy – MCA “C” division 50-Over League Tournament 2018.

Opening bowler Chandula Weeraratne with an incredible spell of medium fast bowling (9.4-3-33-7) ripped through the strong Stafford Motors batting line-up to hand over Kanrich Finance “B” 04 wickets win on Saturday at the BRC Grounds. 

On Wednesday at the MCA, a brilliant double by one drop batsman cum leg spinner, Tharushan Iddamalgoda (76 in 61 balls, inclusive of 01 six and 06 fours and 6.2-15-06) steered Kanrich “B” to a comprehensive 170 runs win over Colombo Dock yard.

The other notable performances came from Tharindu Madushanka from JL Morison (92 in 94 balls with 03 sixes and 12 fours Vs. Commercial Bank), Hasitha Perera from CDB Finance (75 not out in 63 balls with 01 six and 08 fours Vs. Commercial Leasing) and Aruna Henrison from Std. Chartered Bank (10-40-05 Vs. Peoples Leasing & Finance)
