Two lucky winners got to witness Moto GP, the premier class of motorcycle road racing events, held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia recently.

The two lucky winners, Sandeepa Sahan of Seethawaka and Buhari Mohammed Nafeel of Siribopura, were selected for this once-in-a-lifetime experience from customers who purchased KTM from 15 August to 30 September 2019, and enjoyed a fully-paid three-night tour of Malaysia.

Ten other lucky winners were also rewarded with branded helmets while another 10 were presented with branded riding jackets. “It was my first-ever live Moto GP race and I enjoyed it. I got into the pit area and witnessed the racers up close. It was an amazing experience,” said Sahan.

“Apart from the Moto GP, we also got a chance to visit several famous locations in Malaysia, including the twin towers and a number of shopping malls there. I must thank David Pieris Motor Company (DPMC) and KTM Sri Lanka for giving me the opportunity to participate in this fantastic tour of Malaysia,” he added.

Meanwhile, Nafeel stated: “I’ve been watching Moto GP on TV but this was my first live experience. I just cannot believe that I got into the pit area. This is of course a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. Without DPMC I don’t think I could ever have witnessed this live.”

KTM, Europe’s leading race bike, was introduced to Sri Lanka by DPMC last year. Seven KTM models, namely the Duke 125, Duke 125 EU, Duke 200, RC 200, Duke 250, Duke 390 and RC 390, are now available in Sri Lanka.
