The inquiry set up by Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) into the match between CR & FC and Police, which was scheduled for 5 March, was postponed to 7 March. The Red Shirts, who almost pulled the team out before the short breather, took the team out 20 minutes before the final whistle when their regular skipper Omalka Gunaratne was not allowed to take the field in the later half due to sore eyes. Praneeth Weranga officiated the encounter, with Rahuman acting as the Match Commissioner.
