Huzeifa Jafferjee cruised to victory at the second round of ‘Speed Runs’ held at the Shangri-La One Galle Face Mall last Sunday.

Chamod Samarakoon, the First Runner Up of Round One held at Matara came in a very close 2nd while Ranjaya Dissanayaka claimed the 3rd spot and Thiyago Pereira secured 4th. The first three will qualify for the final round which is to be held in Colombo later this year.
‘Speed Runs’ organised by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) in collaboration with Mandarin Reid Advertising is the first ever e-racing championship to be held in Sri Lanka.
A special feature at Sunday was an open event with the participation of the x1 racing team from India. Karin Pradeshi took the top position with young Huzeifa Jafferjee coming in a close second. Indian racer Amit Kutti was third.
Round three of ‘Speed Runs’ will be held at Kzone Jaela in April and round four in the cool hills of Kandy in May.
