Havelock Sports Club pulled off a magnificent 60 points (8 tries, 7 conversions, 2 penalties) to 29 points (4 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty) win over the Solders in the second Clifford Cup semi-final encounter which was worked off at the Racecourse rugby ground yesterday.
At the short breather the winners led 28/3.
Havies opted to give the bench some much needed exposure to the youngsters later in the second half. Army playing with some more experience and superior fitness levels scored a majority of their points in the latter half.
Havelock SC will meet Air Force in the final on March 24 at the same venue.
