Havelock Sports Club as expected produced a super brand of running rugby to knock off the Red Shirts by 53 points (eight tries, five conversions, one penalty) to three (one penalty) to win the Commander Eustace Matthysz Trophy in their Sri Lanka Rugby conducted Inter Club League Rugby tournament encounter, which concluded at Longdon Place last weekend. At the short breather, Havies led 22/3.
Havelock SC played a super brand of rugby, floored the home team who had no answer or experience to give a fight but in this entire game.
For the Park Club their first half tries were scored by Randitha Warnapura (two) and Umesh Madushan, kicking duties were done by Sandesh Jayawickrema. Yasas Kavindu slotted a solitary penalty for CR.
After the turn around, Hafiz Adahan, Ashel Ranasinghe, flanker Christian De Lile, Ramesh Fernando and Lasindu Karunathilake scored one try each for the Havelock SC with Jayawickrema (two) and Chanaka Chandimal did the kicking duty for the Park Club.
