Two national Sevens players, SudamSooriarachchi and HiranthaPerera, will cross over from Havelocks to CH&FC next season.
Perera,a former Isipathana player, represented the national team at the Under-20 15s and Sevens tournaments and got selected for the national Sevens outfit. Meanwhile, Sooriarachchi, who represented the Peterites outfit as a scrum half,was selected to the Under-20 and national Sevens outfit later on.
Former Peterite skipper and Havelock winger Kevin Dixon, who will cross over to CR&FC next rugby season, left to New Zealand for a training stint at the Auckland Rugby Academy.
Dixonwill be in New Zealand for 40 days.The academy is one of the leading high performance rugby training academies in New Zealand.Dixon, who suffered a serious jaw injury last season playing for Havelocks against CH&FC,has recovered fully. Dixon, whose contract at Havieswill end this month,will represent the Longden Place club in November this year when the club season kicks off. (SJ)
