Nuwara Eliya Golf Club Junior opens 2019

Junior Golf sensation from the Hill Capital, Haroon Aslam (Victoria Golf Country Resort) beat the defending champion S. Duwarshan after they were tied at the end of the first days play with 74 gross and emerged Gold Division in the Boy’s segment while Kaya Daluwatte (RCGC) won the Girl’s Gold Division titles at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Course Junior Open golf tournament which concluded at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club course recently.

More than 80 junior golfers from junior Academies in Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Colombo, Anuradhapura and Diyathalawa teed off in an exciting tournament.

Gold Division (Boys): Winner Haroon Aslam (VGCR), Runner-up S. Dhuwarshan (NEGC)
Gold Division (Girls): Winner Kaya Daluwatte (RCGC), Runner-up D.M. Mikesha Shasini (Anuradhapura)
Silver Division (Boys): Winner Pranap Muralidharan (RCGC), Runner-up Imran Nazeer (NEGC)
Silver Division (Girls): Winner Dhevinka Kanagesvaran (RCGC), Runner-up S. Lindhuja (NEGC)
Bronze Division (Boys): Winner C. Dharaniyan (NEGC), Runner-up Abdul Rahuman (NEGC)
Bronze Division (Girls): Winner T. Thamaru Abimani (Diyathalawa), Runner-up H. Thejani Tharuka (Diyathalawa)
