Holy Family Convent, Kurunegala, displayed their top performance at the 27th All-Island Schools Netball championship at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy last weekend when they recorded success for the 11th year in tandem when they won the Under-19 segment.
HFC Girls from Kurunegala accounted for 70 points with Musaeus (40) and Kalutara BV (30) took the second and third places, respectively.
HFC started their success of winning this tournament back in 2008. Three of their girls won the top award with Akithma Abeysinghe (Under-13), Dishni Kumari (Under-15) and Methma Dayaratne (Under-19)
In the second division, Holy Family Convent, Kelaniya, emerged champions in Under-13 level while Bandarapola MV, Matale, accounted for the Under-17 event and Ranjan Wijeratne MV, Buttala, won the Under-19 segment.
