Gajaba Super Cross on 27 August

The 16th edition of the Gajaba Super Cross annual race organised by the Gajaba Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army will take place on 27 August at the Gajaba Regiment Headquarters in Saliyapura, Anuradhapura. The qualifying events will take place on 26 August.

This year over 125 cars and an equal number of motorcycles have already registered to participate and entertain the crowd. The Super Car event which will see the 3500 CC vehicles has attracted more than 15 entries so far.

There will be a trophy offered for the first time for the Group Super event. This will be named the Ananda Wedisinghe Memorial Trophy, after Ananda Wedisinghe who was injured and later on passed away at the Nuwara Eliya road race.
