Father and son win Nuwara Eliya Golf Club Captains Cup

Michael Sathasivam with a nett score of 70 and Jevahn Sathasivam with a nett score of 71 accounted for the Captains Cup win and runner-up respectively at the Nuwara-Eliya Golf Club tournament which took place at their club course in Nuwara-Eliya last weekend.

Youngster Jevahn, who lost out by one point in nett score is a 14 year old student at Asian International School.

Meanwhile his father, Michael who was a former national hockey player who represented St. Benedicts outfit too was in supreme form winning the event.

Meanwhile Rohan Amirthaigha, Prabath Gamage, A. Elliyathamby ended in the top 5 in this encounter which was organised very well in the Hill Country under bathing sunshine.

Over 50 golfers teed off in the annual event which had its inception way back in 1897.
