Expolanka Holdings opening batsman, Lahiru Lakshitha hit the daylights out of MBSL Insurance with a hurricane 170 runs in 80 balls, inclusive of 17 sixes and 06 fours, in the ongoing 03rd Fairfirst Insurance Trophy – MCA “F” Division, 25 over League Tournament 2020, which continued on 3 and 4 October.
Thus, Expolanka were able to post the highest team total of up to date – 262 for 7 in 25 overs. MBSL were shot out for a paltry 43 runs in 18.1 overs, giving Expolanka a massive 219 runs win.
John Keells Group “B”, registered their 04th win on the trot, as they beat Deutsche Bank AG by 21 runs.
Technomedics International coming on the back of two successive defeats, made amends with back-to-back wins over Cargills Bank by 24 runs and Acme Printing by 102 runs.
The bowling honours of the weekend went to Technomedics bowler Thilan Ayesh – 5 for 13 Vs. Acme Printing.
The league stage of the tournament will be completed on 10 October and finished off with the pre-quarter-finals on 11 October.
