Devapriya, Madurasinghe added to cricket selection committee

Former Sri Lanka cricketers Hemantha Devapriya and Ranjith Madurasinghe have been added to the national cricket selection committee, which will now comprise eight members. Both of them have served in previous selection committees. The selection committee, headed by former Sri Lanka fast bowler Pramodya Wickramasinghe and comprising Romesh Kaluwitharana, Hemantha Wickramaratne, Varuna Waragoda, Uvaisul Karnain and Thalika Gunaratne, oversaw selections for both the men’s and women’s cricket teams.

The men’s selections were handled by Wickramasinghe, Kaluwitharana and Wickramaratne, who will now be joined by Devapriya and Madurasinghe. (ST)
