Sri Lanka national cricketers will continue their training this time in Kandy from 22 June at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) coaching staff, headed by Micky Arthur, will have their training outdoors which will involve the 13 cricketers who were in action at the CCC ground in Colombo. This time more cricketers are likely to participate in this session. It will be more like a combination of bowlers and batsmen.
Sri Lanka already lost out in hosting South Africa, England, India and Bangladesh. The latter two is likely to take place in August. Sri Lanka is also scheduled to organise a Local Premier League (LPL) in September.
The icing on the cake will be for them to get the green light to host the postponed Indian Premier League (IPL) in Sri Lanka which they have already shown interest to the powerful Board of Control for Cricket in India.
