CR&FC continued their unbeaten run in the league when they outplayed Sri Lanka Air Force by 35 points (five tries, five conversions) to 17 points (three tries, one conversion) in their Inter-Club League rugby tournament encounter which concluded at Ratmalana yesterday.
At the short breather Red Shirts led 28/10.
This was the Longdon Place club’s third win in the season. Earlier they beat Police SC and CH&FC while Air Force lost all three games to Kandy SC and Army SC in their previous encounters. As at date both Kandy SC and CR&FC remain as the only two unbeaten sides in the league this year. CR&FC is enjoying one of their best rugby seasons in the recent past under National 15s skipper Omalka Gunaratne expecting to reclaim the league after a lapse of several years.
