CR&FC won the battle but lost the war due to non-participation at the initial leg at the same venue two weeks earlier. CH&FC who were placed third in the initial leg and second in the later leg won the overall Dialog Club Rugby Sevens 2018 at the Racecourse Grounds last weekend.
CR&FC defeated Navy SC 24-14 while CH&FC edged out Air Force 17-10 in a thriller in the Cup semifinals. Navy C accounted for the Shield when they handed off Peterson B 28-0 in the Final. The Bowl Final saw Police A achieve an easy 36-7 win over Army B. The CH&FC B team accounted for the Plate with a 26-10 win over Navy B. In the third place playoff, Navy A beat Air Force 26-12.
In the Women’s Final, Navy SC beat Army SC 26-10. In the Cup Final CR&FC beat CH&FC 26-2 in a final where both sides were packed with national sevens players.
