Bawantha Udangamuwa will lead Dharmaraja College during their 2018 rugby season.
He is the younger brother of Kandy SC Number 8 Buwanka Udangamuwa. Bawantha will be assisted by Oshada Kulupana and Manuka Hiyarapitiya as his deputy.
Dharmaraja, who finished as the plate runners-up last year, will have an uphill task playing along with Trinity College, St. Anthony’s College, Royal College and S. Thomas’ College in their group. The Rajans hit their peak in schools rugby when they won the schools league in 2013 under Rochana Hettiarachchi. The outfit was coached by Old Boy and Sri Lanka Sevens player Radhika Hettiarachchi.
The outfit will be coached by former Isipathana flanker Kapila Silva, who is also the Manager of defending champions Kandy SC. The Under-18 team will be coached by Priyantha Gunaratne.
