Ashan stamps his class at ‘SLTMobitel Speedup Katukurunda 2021’

Ashan Silva proved his class by winning both races of the SL-GT cars up to 3500cc at the ‘SLTMobitel Speedup Katukurunda 2021’ last Sunday (5th). Ashan was also named the Best driver of the meet.

Ushan Perera and Kaushalya Samarasinghe took second and third spot in race one while Kaushalya Samarasinghe grabbed second spot and Rohitha Rajapaksa took third place in race two.

The SL-GT cars up to 3500cc event was run over 10 laps of the Katukurunda circuit while all other races were eight laps of the circuit.

Viren Boteju and Kesara Godage were placed first and second in both race one and two of SL-H Honda cars up to 1600cc (event four and 12), while Induwara Senadeera took third spot in race one, while Zakir Wahab took third spot in race two.

Over 130 entries were received for the 11 race classes with the SL-GT cars up to 3500 cc and SL- H Honda Cars up to 1600 cc classes both having two races each.
