Youth and Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa yesterday appointed a four-member Technical Advisory Committee, headed by former Sri Lanka captain Aravinda de Silva, for the development of Sri Lanka Cricket.
The primary function of the committee is to advise the Minister, Ministry officials and the National Sports Council on all matters relating to Sri Lanka Cricket.
The committee consists of: Aravinda de Silva (Chairman), Roshan Mahanama (member), Muthiah Muralitharan (member) and Kumar Sangakkara (member).
The committee will work closely with Sri Lanka Cricket to raise the standard of cricket both locally and internationally. The main objective of this committee is to guide the development and coaching of a high level of cricket in Sri Lanka.
