Air Force wins National Taekwondo title

The Sri Lanka Air Force has won the National Taekwondo Championship this year. According to Air Force media, this is the third consecutive time that the Air Force had managed to win the coveted title.

Both the men’s and women’s team have won the championship titles at the National Taekwondo Championship 2018 which was held at the Indoor Stadium of the Ministry of Sports in Colombo. Matches were worked off from 7 to09 December.

Sri Lanka Air Force Taekwondo teams took home a haul of 9 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze medals while Leading Aircraftwoman Ranasinghe RASP was adjudged as the Best Female Taekwondo competitor. The Air Force Taekwondo teams have achieved some impressive wins at competitions within a short period of time since being formed in 2011.
