Sri Lanka Air Force scored a shocking 39/22 win over CH and FC in their Inter-Club Rugby encounter, which was worked off at Ratmalana yesterday. At the short breather, Air Force led 27/8.
This was the first win for Air Force.
Air Force tries were scored by Tuteovuya James (3), Gayantha Iddamalgoda, and Ramzon Amit with Iddmalgoda (2), Charith Seneviratne and Nuwan Perera doing the converting duties of the tries. Charith Seneviratne put over two penalties for the home team. For CH & FC, their tries were scored by Warren Weerakoon, Rohitha Rajapaksa, and Mohamed Nizran. Arshad Jamaldeen did the kicking duties for the visiting team.
Army drew with Police 26/26 at Welisara. At the breather, it was 21-a-piece for both teams. Army scored their tries through Tomasi Ravouvvou (2), Sudaraka Dikkumbura and Dhanushka Talwatte. Chamath Fernando (2) and Ashan Bandara took the kick at goal.
Police tries were scored by Sachith Silva (2), Vihanga Oavithra, and Dhanushka Edirisuriya while the kicks at goal taken by Nalin Kumara.
