Oshadi Ranasinghe took her team Air Force SC A to the top of the Women’s (50-over) Division I standings

Air Force SC A led by Sri Lanka Women’s all-rounder Oshadi Ranasinghe went to the top of the Women’s Inter-Club Division I (50-over) standings when they shot out Colts for a paltry 19 runs and won their match played at Colts grounds quite comfortably by 10 wickets yesterday.
Oshadi who bowls right-arm medium-fast was the chief destroyer of the Colts batting with figures of four wickets for three runs.
Air Force SC A who has 24 points from six matches however have only one game in hand to play against Seenigama CC on 19 April. Seenigama CC are lying fourth with 19 points.
Army SC A and defending champions Navy SC are better placed to win the title by toping the table as both have two games in hand.
Army SC A are currently placed second with 23 points and are the only unbeaten side in the tournament to have won five out of five. Their key game is against Navy SC which has been postponed from yesterday to 17 April at Army grounds Dombagoda. Army SC A’s final game is against Chilaw Marians CC on 19 April at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
Navy SC captained by batter Hansima Karunaratne are lying third with 20 points and have a tough task to retain the title they won last year. Their final two matches are against Army SC A on 17 April and Army SC B on 19 April at Welisara.
From the three services teams that are in the running for the title, Army SC A who are led by Sri Lanka Women’s all-rounder Nilakshi de Silva are currently best placed to win it.
In the other matches played yesterday Chilaw Marians CC and Seenigama CC beat the B teams of Air Force SC and Army SC respectively.
