Air Force Open squash from today

Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Council organised Air Force Open Squash Tournament will take place in tandem for the 14th year at the Air Force Squash Complex in Ratmalana starting from 5 to 12 November.

The tournament has already attracted more than 450 entries and will feature all top and novices Junior Players in the country under the age segments from Under-13, 15, 17 and 19 of Girls’ and Boys’ and also all top ranking and novices Senior Players in the country including tri-services under the segments of Men’s and Women’s Opens, Men’s and Women’s Novices, Men’s Over 35, 40, 45 and 50.

There will be players from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh too will participate at this tournament.

The finals will take place on November 12 and the Prize Awards too will follow soon afterwards.  Air Chief Marshal P.H. Mendis Challenge Trophy for Men’s and Air Chief Marshal Harry Goonetileke Memorial Trophy for Women’s open segments too will be presented for the winners in their respective events. (SJ)
