The Commanders Cup Golf Tournament will be celebrating its 10th birthday at the Air Force Eagles Golf Links and Course (AFEGLC) in China Bay in Trincomalee with the event taking place from 20 to 22 January. This event is once again sponsored by Dialog Enterprise for third year in tandem.
A record 120 golfers have registered with 18 entries from the ladies which is the highest in the 10-year history of this tournament.
The Eagles Challenge Trophy will be on offer for the top performing member of the armed forces. The awards ceremony will take place on 21 January graced by one of the top golfers Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana.

This event has grown very fast and sooner it will be considered as the blue ribbon event in the golfing calendar. Sri Lanka Air Force under the leadership of Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana had taken both cycling and Golf to a next level being the leader among the forces.
Dialog Enterprises and Sri Lanka Air Force had organised a CSR project for the community when three schools namely, Trincomalee Girls High School, Kinniya Ravmeshwaran Tamil School and Nalanda Vidyalaya China Bay will receive brand new computers at a function on 20 January.
Trinco Blue by Cinnamon and JAKB Beach Resort and Spa will look after the hospitality offering the golfers a special stay during the event.
