The popular isotonic drink 100PLUS partnered with the Old Royalist Athletics Club (ORAC) to become the co-sponsor of Health Run O’ Walk – the latest addition to the Annual Inter House Road Race of Royal College, Colombo.

Declaring the co-sponsorship of Browns 100PLUS to Royal College Health Run O’ Walk at the Felicitation Program for Royal College athletes for the year 2017 From left Royal College Senior Games Master Riyaz Aluhar, Brown & Company Marketing & Communications Chief Officer Susaan Bandara, Royal College Colombo Principal B.A. Abeyrathna, Browns Pharmaceutical Deputy Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe, Browns Pharmaceutical Chief Executive Officer Premakumar Weyhenage and Old Royalist Athletics Club Secretary Asanga Peiris

100PLUS, a popular hydrating source among marathon runners, sportsmen and active lifestyle enthusiasts, served the rehydration and re-energising needs of over one thousand participants of the Health Run O’ Walk. The co-sponsorship of Browns 100PLUS was declared at ORAC Awards, the felicitation program for Royal College athletes for the year 2017, held on 14 February at Royal College Nava Rangahala.

One of the most looked-forward-to events in the Royal College Calendar, the Annual Inter House Road Race concluded on 18 February with the participation of over 1500 students in junior, intermediate and senior categories. The Old Royalists Athletic Club (ORAC) incepted another tradition by introducing the Health Run O’ Walk aiming to promote healthy living amongst parents, old boys and well-wishers of Royal College.  100PLUS kept the participants of the Health Run O’ Walk refreshed throughout the 5.2 KM run.

“Browns Pharmaceutical Ltd. is pleased of Royal College’s effort to promote a healthy lifestyle among adults through Health Run-O-Walk in parallel to the Annual Inter House Road Race for the students. 100PLUS will aid the road race contestants to replenish water and energy lost during the race, as the caffeine-free healthy solution rehydrates the human body with its thirst-quenching and energy-replenishing ingredients such as minerals, glucose and sucrose,” stated Browns Pharmaceuticals Deputy Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe at the felicitation program for athletes for the year 2017.

“Royal College highly appreciates 100PLUS’s contribution to make the inaugural Health Run-O-Walk a success. ORAC has agreed to allocate the proceeds from the walk to develop College athletics. We also anticipate to make the Health Run-O-Walk an annual event and upgrade into a mini-marathon in time to come”, noted an official from the Old Royalist Athletics Club at the ORAC Awards Ceremony.

The 100PLUS isotonic drink was officially launched in Sri Lanka in January to fulfil the needs of those who engage in sports and lead active lifestyles, by refreshing, rehydrating and re-energising the body without adding unhealthy ingredients that are usually contained in energy drinks. Four varieties, namely 100PLUS Original, 100PLUS Lemon Lime, 100PLUS Berry and 100PLUS Orange are now available in leading supermarkets and  pharmacies across Sri Lanka for customer preference. This healthy beverage is distributed by Browns Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Brown & Company PLC.
