What is CodeCraft?
CODECRAFT is a nationwide competition for students, professionals, colleges, and corporates. The event will bring together existing and aspiring security enthusiasts from all fields of the infosec world from the corporate and government bodies to academic institutions.
Why CodeCraft?
This competition is aimed at supporting Sri Lankan Government’s mission to earn $ 5 billion foreign exchange from export of software developed in Sri Lanka by 2022. Today, foreign clients of our software developing companies are well aware of cyber security threats and most of them now demand the software developer to guarantee that the developed code is secured or very difficult to be hacked. They also demand that the developed source code cannot be re-engineered.
The competition
CodeCraft is a competition in which the participants will sit for online exams on selected examination centres. Based on their domain knowledge of Secure Programming, the candidates will be tested on their ability to design secure programs.
Format
The event will be conducted in three segmentations – Preliminary, Semi-Finals and Finals leading to identifying the top programmers in the country.

Registration Process
1. Each candidate has to register online (www.codecraft.lk).
2. Thereafter, the candidate needs to make the required registration fee to any branch of the Bank of Ceylon.
3. The candidate needs to scan/take a photograph of the customer copy of the deposit slip with reference details entered by the bank and send to [email protected] email account immediately.
4. Upon verification with the bank, the system will generate an email to each candidate accepting their registration to the competition.
5. Candidates will be notified about their allocated exam centre and the date accordingly.
