Having emerged from a three-decade-long terrorist conflict less than four years ago, Sri Lanka now needs to up its game and make up for lost opportunities and develop rapidly to catch up with the rest of the world.
Sri Lankan companies across sectors must commit to this development drive by promoting new ventures and creating growth opportunities throughout the country. Citing IT and BPO industries as best examples for such developments, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Wednesday noted that more local companies must exploit opportunities to become powerhouses that leave their mark on the international arena.
