Challenges to economic freedom in Sri Lanka are considerable

Whilst Sri Lanka has made good progress in the 2011 Economic Freedom Index, challenges remain considerable, noted the global list’s compilers, The Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal. Sri Lanka was ranked at 107 in the 2011 list, higher from 120th position in 2010 but lower in comparison to 92nd rank enjoyed in 2006.
