Building vibrant communities and nations in South Asia

Returning to Sri Lanka after nearly three decades, the Rotary South Asia Conference on Development Co-operation commenced its three-day summit yesterday, this year following the theme of ‘Working together towards building vibrant communities and nations of South Asia’. Attended by many foreign delegates from countries in the region and beyond including a large delegation from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and even New Zealand, the conference which is being held at the Galadari was graced by the presence of President Mahinda Rajapaksa who was the Chief Guest at the inauguration of the event.
