ZIM Lines last week announced a General Rate Increases (GRI) in the cross Atlantic Trade, which will take effect in July,1st , 2011.
The GRI applies to cargo From East Mediterranean (Including Israel and the Black sea), West Mediterranean & North Europe/Scandinavia to USA & Canada & Caribbean’s Westbound Trade, as follows:
USD200.-/20’ & USD300.-/40’ on all container types.
The change is necessary in order to maintain our current levels of service and high reliability.
ZIM also said that a General Rate Increase (GRI) of USD 275 per TEU will be implemented as of July 1st, 2011.
The GRI applies to westbound cargo from Asia and Indian sub-continent to Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Europe destinations.
“This update is necessary in order to maintain our current levels of service and high reliability,” ZIM said.
