The CMA CGM Group has announced the arrival of the CMA CGM Jules Verne (16,000 containers 20-foot equivalent). Sailing under the French flag, she is the world’s largest containership.
The CMA CGM Jules Verne began its first rotation on 3 May, in Pusan, South Korea.
Operated on the emblematic line of the Group, the French Asia Line (FAL 1), the CMA CGM Jules Verne will call at Pusan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Chiwan, Yantian, Port Kelang, Suez, Malta, Marseilles, Tanger, Southampton, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Malta, Suez, Khor Al Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Port Kelang and Ningbo. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the CMA CGM Group, the CMA CGM Jules Verne will be deviated from its rotation and call exceptionally in Marseilles, where she will be inaugurated, Tuesday, 4 June, in the presence of François Hollande, President of the French Republic.
The CMA CGM Jules Verne is the third 16,000 teus vessel that has been delivered to the CMA CGM Group. This giant of the seas displays exceptional dimensions: 396 meters long and 54 meters wide.
