Transworld Group makes strong inroads into dry bulk carriers

The parent company of Feeder Operator Orient Express Lines, the Transworld Group of Companies (TWGC), has been making strong inroads into the bulk carrier business under a separate vertical called Transworld Bulk Carriers Ltd. (TBC). The company recently took over two of their bulk carriers the M.V. TBC Princess and the M.V. TBC Prestige on 14 November 2013 and 14 January 2014 respectively. Both ships were built at the Guangzhou Wenchong yard in China. This series of new build ships marks the group’s ambitious plans to further expand in the dry bulk sector with clear intentions to build more ships in the supermax sector in the coming years.
