Sri Lanka’s leading travel agents have lauded the introduction of flat bed seats into the business class cabins of SriLankan Airlines’ wide bodied aircraft.
During a recent familiarisation trip organised by the Sri Lanka Sales department of the airline, senior representatives from these travel agencies visited the BIA airport and inspected the refurbished aircraft interiors in both Business and Economy Class. They were very appreciative of the plush cabin interiors and highly commended the luxury and comfort of the flat-bed seats in business class and the modern inflight entertainment systems.
Flat-bed seats that have been introduced on SriLankans’ Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft, offer passengers the dual option of working at leisure and sleeping in comfort.
The seats are covered with terracotta coloured premium quality soft leather, inspiring a cool, cosy and peaceful feeling in the cabin. They are fitted with individual massagers and a pneumatic lumbar support system for better comfort, while the in-flight entertainment has the latest Audio/Video On Demand function with games for the little ones. Complementing this facility are the wide screens with their superior high resolution picture quality for infinite viewing pleasure.
“A welcome change in the product which would be appreciated by the Business traveller,” said Yogarajan, COO Mackinnons Travels.
“Loved the new business class seats on SriLankan Airlines. Great seats, delicious food and warm and caring service,” said Natasha Peiris, Director Gabo Travels.
“The upgraded Business class on SriLankan with the new flat beds is on par with the best in this part of the world. The Silk Route for all the business class passengers is a winner. Continued wishes for all the efforts done in the last couple of years in upgrading the product and services,” said Faris Deen, General Manager, Gabo Travels.
“SriLankan Airlines’ new Business class seats are on par with the best in its class. This enhancement coupled with the warm hospitality of their cabin crew will certainly be appreciated by the high end traveller. We at Hemas Travels/HRG Sri Lanka will look forward to promoting this product to our Corporate and high end leisure travellers,” Riza Ahamat, Director/General Manager Hemas Travels.
